Child Safety Standards
Along is committed to the safety of children and has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). This page sets out our published standards against CSAE, as required by Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy and applicable law.
1. Adults-only service
Along is intended exclusively for adults aged 18 and over. Creating an account, building a profile, posting or joining plans, and messaging all require users to be 18+. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to create an account or use the Service. If we learn that a user is under 18, we remove the account and associated data.
2. Zero tolerance for CSAE and CSAM
We strictly prohibit, and take action against, any content, conduct, or accounts that involve:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form - images, video, text, or links.
- Sexualization of minors, grooming, enticement, or solicitation of a minor.
- Trafficking, sextortion, or any exploitation of a child.
- Attempts to use Along to identify, contact, or arrange to meet a minor for abusive purposes.
This applies to profiles, photos, plan content, chat messages, and any other user-generated content on Along.
3. How we prevent and respond
- In-app reporting. Every profile, plan, and chat can be reported. Users can report and block others directly from the app (Safety center and report/block actions on profiles, plans, and conversations).
- Moderation and enforcement. We review reports and may suspend or permanently remove accounts, remove content, and preserve relevant information. Violations of these standards result in immediate account termination.
- Reporting to authorities. We report apparent CSAM and CSAE to the appropriate authorities and recognized reporting bodies (for example, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and/or local UAE law enforcement), and cooperate with lawful requests.
4. How to report a concern
If you encounter content or behaviour that may involve the safety or exploitation of a child:
- In the app: use the report or block action on the profile, plan, or conversation, or open the Safety center.
- By email: contact us at hello@getalong.fun with as much detail as possible.
- Emergencies: if a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
You can also report CSAE directly to organisations such as the NCMEC CyberTipline.
5. Point of contact
Our designated contact for child-safety matters, including law-enforcement and Google Play inquiries, is:
hello@getalong.fun
6. Compliance
We align our practices with applicable child-safety laws and with Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy. We review these standards periodically and update them as our Service and legal obligations evolve.
These standards describe how Along addresses child safety. They are not legal advice. We work to comply with applicable UAE and international law; qualified counsel should review for specific jurisdictions.
